Poor weather for most of the country on this Bank Holiday Weekend

Congratulations to some residents in the province of Gerona, who, ten days after the snow storms, have finally seen their power restored.
220,000 were initially without power after the storm on March 8.

A sunny start to the day in the East of the country today, but cloud and rain in the north and west will move across during the afternoon. The best of the weather will be on the sunny Canaries.

Strong winds, generally Southerly in direction, in parts of Galicia and Cantabria, and across high ground in the north.

Light to moderate rain in Cataluña, which will be persistent in Galicia but weaker in other areas of the NE and upper Ebro.
Showers less likely again the further South and East you go today.
