They were in a car driven by their mother
Two children, aged four and five, drowned in the early hours of Saturday, when the car they were in, driven by their mother, fell into the water at Ceuta port.
The Government in the Spanish North African enclave declared a day’s official mourning on hearing the news, and it remains unclear exactly what happened. The mother was rescued from the vehicle by firemen.
