Two of the travellers was suffering from hypothermia

A patera baot carrying 37 paperless immigrants has been intercepted by the authorities off the Costa Tropical.

All the travellers are male and reported to be in apparent good health, with the exception of two which showed severe hypothermia when escorted into the port at Motril at 0745 this morning.

Their boat had been spotted at 3am by the SIVE detection system when 15 miles off La Rábita.
