Muñoz allegedly collected 150,000 Euros in real estate backhander

It’s now understood that Judge Miguel Angel Torres, instructing the Malaya Corruption Case in Marbella, believes that the ex Mayor of the town, Julian Muñoz, who he sent to prison without bail on Thursday night, had collected 150,000 in a backhander in a real estate deal.
The judge thinks Muñoz was given the money as part of the scheme set up by Juan Antonio Roca, the real estate assessor in Marbella Town Hall.
Today Muñoz will be placed in a prison module separated from the rest of the detainees in the Malaya case, for reasons of safety. Upto now he has been held in the new arrivals module at the prison.
Regarding the Aifos detentions also seen last Thursday, it has now been revealed that the company signed three agreements with ex Mayor of Marbella, Marisol Yagüe, which extended their building projects in the municipality.
It’s alleged that in exchange for these improvements, Aifos paid Marbella Town Hall around 4.4 million € in commissions.
The judge has also announced that reporting restrictions in the Malaya case have been extended for a further month ‘to preserve the investigation from the interference or manipulation from those tending to obstruct it’.
