Three tons of cannabis seized on El Ejido beach

It was loaded on a stolen lorry parked on Balerma Beach
The news has been released that the Civil Guard have seized almost three tons of cannabis from a beach in El Ejido in an operation which took place early on Monday morning.
A routine patrol found the drugs on a lorry which they saw parked on Balerma Beach with its lights switched off. The driver fled when he saw the officers approaching and remains at large.
The vehicle turned out to be stolen from Elche in Alicante province in February last year.
