Placido Domingo gives a concert in Chile

Spanish tenor, Placido Domingo, has given a free concert to over 15,000 people in the Plaza de Armas in Santiago de Chile. He was accompanied by the Chilean soprano Verónica Villarroel.
The event is one of many organised to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Municipal Theatre in the city.
Before the concert Domingo told the press ‘It is a privilege to make people happy’.
