The Civil have seized eight preserved alligator heads which were up for sale at a trade fair in Seville province
Officers from the Civil Guard nature protection branch, Seprona, have confiscated eight alligator heads which they found displayed for sale at a trade fair in Espartinas, in Seville.
The preserved alligator heads are from the Alligator Mississippiensis species, the American Alligator, which inhabits the Mississippi River, and is protected.
The stallholder, R.C.M. from León, had none of the documentation required for protected species and faces charges for infringing the Contraband Law, and the 1973 International Agreement on Endangered Species.
