The 42 year old woman, an 11 year old daughter and the baby died at 1930pm yesterday in Girona after falling from a window of a thirteenth floor flat in the district Devesa in Girona.
The same sources later indicated that the two bodies of the children had landed in a different place than their mother, which rules out the idea she was holding them as she jumped, but must have pushed them out together before committing suicide. There was no sign of any struggle inside the flat.
Later that evening duty judge ordered the removal of the bodies, starting with the mother who had fallen into an awkward place and her body had to be rescued by firemen, then the two daughters at 23.30pm.
The mayor of Girona, Carles Puigdemont, the director of Territorial Services from the Interior Commissariat of Girona, Albert Ballesta, the former mayor Anna Pagans and local councillors went to the scene and the City Hall called for a minute silence to be held at noon today.
