It’s been copied in Bollywood and Hollywood and now the London has asked for the real thing. The authorities in London are in talks with Buñol town hall to stage the event in Hyde Park, in the space usually used for concerts.
Two meetings have been held between the authorities in Buñol and Turespaña, the body which manages Spain promotion abroad. The next step is to ask Hyde Park.
The idea is for Buñol to manage the event in London, and to supply the tomatoes, presumably from Spain.
If it does go ahead the Tomatina will be more famous than ever
