The happy couple are 33 year old Matthew William Brokenshire and 28 year old Chloe Jessica Brokenshire, and they departed from the Palomas Island in Tarifa (Cádiz) at 11:44am with a slight westerly wind at the start, which increased when half way and complicated their final arrival.
The swimmers completed the task after 3 hours and 47 minutes swimming at 15:32 after reaching the point Alamsa, on the northern African coast after swimming 16 kilometres.
