1011 - first documented mention of the town of Viladecans.
1483 - Gran Canaria, is conquered by the Kingdom of Castile, which was an important step in the further expansion of Spain.
1587 - Francis Drake attacked Cadiz, destroying the Spanish fleet moored in the bay
1729 – The Mozos de Veciana, better known as the Mossos de Esquadra are given official character as the regional police force in Cataluña by Felipe V.
