UPDATED - The Jet Apartments in Platja d’en Bossa in Ibiza, was the scene of the tragedy, which occurred at five am when the health services arrived. The doctors applied movement for reanimation for 45 minutes without success.
Carl Shepherd fell close to the swimming pool after falling asleep on the edge of the third floor balcony. In his room they found empty alcohol bottles and capsules of Nitrous Oxide.
He was staying in room 329 in Block B. Sources close to the investigation noted he was staying in the same room with a group of friends and had been enjoying the effects of the 'laughing gas'.
His friends told the Guardia Civil, Carl had decided to sleep on the balcony which overhangs façade between every two apartments.
For reasons unknown he fell a distance of around 12 metres.

Despite 45 minutes of attempted reanimation he was finally certified as dead. The Judicial Police agents of the Guardia Civil of Ibiza have opened the investigation.
