National Court Judge Eloy Velasco has today dictated the provisional custody order for the two taken into custody last Tuesday in Sant Antoni in an anti-terrorist operation and they are accused of exalting Daesh, and sending converted Jihadists from Ibiza to Syria.
During their appearance this morning, which started at 10am, the two suspects took up their right to not declare and only responded to questions from their lawyers, Juan María Ormazábal from Ibiza for ‘J.R’ and the controversial Emilio Rodríguez Menéndez for the imam A.E.M.
The judge declared a secret summary but during the hearing it was revealed that the Civil Guard had united, after more than 22 months of investigation, strong indications that one of the suspects J.R. had been making contact with supposed followers of Daesh by using Facebook.
It seems, the detained in Sant Antoni had been posting jihadist videos on the internet, without adding any comments, but these videos gave the user to select ‘I like’ to extend the video’s distribution.
The two being held in custody, have already left the National Court and are to be imprisoned, presumably in the Alacá Meco according to the lawyer Juan María Ormazábal.
