The body of the 43-year-old British woman was found Saturday afternoon in the waters of the Club de Mar in Palma. The couple lived on the boat and docked during Friday afternoon at quay 30 and immediately went clubbing on the Maritime Parade in Palma.

It appears the couple had a fierce argument on their boat, although the video camera located at the port showed only a body falling alone into the sea, with no sign of anyone else.

At 11am the man called the emergency services to report the disappearance of his wife, adding he was worried about her falling into the sea.

A specialist unit from the Club de Mar started to search for the woman, joined later by the divers from the Guardia Civil Subaquatic Activities Special Group dived several times without success.

Around 4pm, agents from the Guardia Civil Maritime Service were patrolling the area by sea and localised an inert female cadaver. Effectives from the Armed Institute called IB-Health who certified the death of the victim.

A reconstruction opened by members of Judicial Police from the Armed Institute and started by questioning her husband.

Also, agents from the Criminology Laboratory arrived to carry out a visual search for fingerprints and carried out a meticulous search of the boat.

The death was communicated to the Instruction Court 1 in Palma which was on duty. The forensic scientist went to quay 30 to examine the body. The judge then ordered the removal of the body.

Funeral directors took the body to the Forensic Anatomic Institute where an autopsy was expected today to determine the cause of the death.
