Detained a Briton in Los Palacios (Sevilla) with antiques stolen in Italy
The Guardia Civil detained the British citizen when in his hotel at Los Palacios y Villafranca (Sevilla) for the presumed crime against historical patronage, after finding in his possession antiques and collectors’ objects supposedly stolen in Italy.

In a statement, the Armed Institute informed on August 16 during a routine inspection of several hotels in Los Palacios, proved that among the guests was a British man named as 55 year old W.T.V.
Using an international database, they identified the suspect as being wanted by the Italian Central Court and had a search and capture warrant against him ahead of extradition for the crime against historical patronage.
Among his personal effects impounded were numerous antiques and collector’s items lacking legal providence, including two emerald covered boxes in blue and white, a ceramic piece with a golden wooden image of the virgin, six antiquities of diverse sizes, 90 individual packets of Roman and Arabic coins, and 25 pieces of antique collectables.
In the note, assured W.T.V. didn’t deny the facts or offer any resistance when the agents detained him in his hotel room.
