The Police want Marta del Castillo's killer to take a lie detector test

The National Police has asked the Instruction Court number 4 in Sevilla, for the convicted assassin of Marta del Castillo, Miguel Carcaño, be subjected to a lie detector test.

Jan 26, 2014 - 10:49 PM
The police want to know if Miguel Carcaño knows what happened to Marta’s body.
On multiple previous occasions he gave police false information to the police on where Marta is buried.

It is now five years since the murder of Marta del Castillo, and the police are insisting it is their job to find the girl’s remains, and for that reason they want to try the lie detector which has recently been used in a similar case in Zaragoza in a case where a man killed his wife. Reports say the lie detector was successful even though the body of the woman has not been found.

Miguel Carcaño has been in prison since 2009, and was condemned by the Supreme Court in February 2013 to 21 years and three months in prison for the killing of the girl. He is currently on the second grade in the Herrera de la Mancha Penitentiary Centre in Ciudad Real.
