Two of the ten injured remain in hospital but their progress is favourable

The Judge in the Instruction Court 3 in Marbella has ordered prison for the two British citizens accused of causing injuries by running people down in Puerto Banús last Sunday.
The magistrate ordered provisional communicated prison without bail for the driver of the Audi SUV - named with the initials M.E.S while the co-pilot has been imprisoned with bail set at 25,000 €.
After the first diligences, the judge is considering the crime of negligent homicide, the crime of causing injury and crime against road safety.
The two individuals passed today at judicial disposition. They arrived at the Marbella courts amid high security and with great media interest.
The National Police attribute the two detained for the running down and later for the traffic accident in Marbella, which caused ten injuries, the crimes of attempted homicide and against traffic safety.
The two injured who remain in the Costa del Sol hospital are a woman with multiple injuries and a man who has undergone surgery for a broken femur. Both are back on the wards after being admitted to ICU.
According chief of the Marbella Local Police, Javier Martínez, said the investigation has to determine whether it was an accident or intentional, despite all the evidence indicating the latter.
