Spain has four establishments in the top eleven restaurants in the world according to Restaurant Magazine
‘El Bulli’ has been voted for the second consecutive year as the best restaurant in the world.
The honour has been bestowed by Restaurant Magazine, which collected the opinions of 600 experts from across the world to draw up its list of the top 50 restaurants for high cuisine.
Accepting his award in London on Monday night, an emotional Ferran Adrià, the owner of El Bulli, which can be found in Rosas, near Barcelona, said he wanted to share the prize with all fans of gastronomy, and he said it was an achievement for Spain to have four establishments in the top 11 of the list.
Second place went to the British ‘The Fat Duck’ and third to the French, ‘Pierre Gagnaire’.
The other top Spanish restaurants were Andoní Luis Aduriz with ‘Mugaritz’ in seventh place, Juan Mari Arzak in tenth place and the Roca brothers in eleventh.
By the way if you want to make a reservation at 'El Bulli', they are fully booked for the next year.
