Real Madrid are the new ACB Basketball Champions after their in in the best of five match final against Barcelona. Reyes was the player who lead Real to their 30th title after beating Barça 71-82 in the fourth match.
The man whose single goal gave Sevilla the King’s Cup against Getafe on Saturday, Frederic Kanouté, has denied reports in the press that he is to leave the side. ‘I have two more years on my contract here’, he said, ‘and I have no intention of moving’.
Double Formula One World Champion, Fernando Alonso, has dismissed suggestions that he may driver for Ferrari, and said it is his intention to fulfil his contract at McLaren because he has the best car in his hands.
The Asturian driver also spoke of his ‘good’ relationship with team mate Lewis Hamilton, that the press claims that the two were not speaking were untrue. However the Spaniard did add that he thought that the Englishman was leading the Championship table because he had driven well, but in addition he had enjoyed plenty of good luck.
The rumours of recent days have turned out to be true. Barcelona are to sign Thierry Henry for the next four seasons.
The deal has been done with Arsenal getting 24 million € for the 29 year old French striker.
El Mundo reports that the Barcelona Vice-President, Ferran Soriano, sealed the deal, and Catalunya Radio also reports that the deal has been done. Henry will take a medical in Barcelona today, following which he will be presented to the press.
During his eight seasons at Arsenal, Henry has scored 174 goals in the league.

As Wimbledon gets underway today, the World’s Number Two, Rafa Nadal, has said that he has not improved on grass at all over the past year. The second seed said what really mattered was winning, but that his game on the surface was a lottery. He said he would be approaching Wimbledon one game at a time.
