ETA are also thought to have been involved in a theft in France yesterday

There are reports this morning that the Ministry for the Interior is searching for a mobile ETA cell in Málaga.

La Opinion de Málaga says that a police report indicates that the cell is made up of two or three terrorists who are ready to carry out an attack.

They are thought to be staying in students’ accommodation.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to try and establish whether Basque terrorist group ETA were behind the theft of 40 kilos of fire-starter tablets which have been taken from close to Strasbourg in France.

Witnesses to the theft claim that the robbers had Spanish accents.

The tablets could be used to make certain explosive devices. The thieves also took some rucksacks, sleeping bags and camping gas canisters.
