31 arrests were made in raids in Málaga and Fuengirola
A National Police operation which took place in Málaga City and Fuengirola has seized 19,000 pirated CDs and DVDs, and arrested 31 members of the group which recorded and sold the illegal copies. The suspects are all from China and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dubbed ‘Operation Uria,’ it follows two months of investigation which identified five flats in Málaga which the network used to store the copied discs before distribution.
Officers also confiscated three copying towers, seven individual copiers and a high quality printer.
