Roman salt fish factory uncovered on a building site in
La Azohía, near the marina. The discovery was made some months ago, in survey work taking place as part of requirements for granting a building licence.
Archaeologists say the find could date from the fourth century. The site has been fenced off and any building halted while the archaeological excavations take place.
