A Dutchman has been arrested in Alhaurín de la Torre in connection with the crime
A Dutchman, named with the initials R.P., has been arrested by the Guardia Civil after kidnapping an Englishman who worked for him as a driver.
Police caught up with the man in a motorhome in Alhaurín de la Torre.
The vehicle was found to contain a large amount of stolen property, with an estimated value of 20,000 €.
The man held captive, named only with the initials M.E.I. managed to escape and alerted the authorities in the Granada village of Otura.
He says that after working for the man’s family for a time he was not allowed to go out alone, and that his documentation was taken from him.
