The two logos compared

The winning design came from a competition between 320 entriesThere has been criticism of the new logo for the official Spanish Government notepaper.
The design is a close copy to that used by the German Government and the designer,
Juan Rapullés, has nevertheless been paid 12,000 €. He claims the new design is ‘modern and has impact’ – it won the tender out of 320 applications.
The newspaper
El Periódico claims that the proportion of the two designs is identical, with the only difference being the colours of the flags represented by the central line.
