There were two fatalities in Marbella, two in Cartagena and one on Ibiza

The two people to die when crossing the A7 road near Puerto Banus in the early hours of Friday morning have been named as Britons.

29 year old Stephen Brown from Leeds and 21 year old Haley Jackson from Lewisham are thought to have both been killed instantly and thrown into the air when hit by traffic on the road at the 173.8km point, still busy at 0630.
They were in the area on holiday and crossed the road by foot rather than go to a subway some 300 metres away.

It takes the number of Britons to die on Spain’s roads in the past week to five.

The couple who died in a head on crash near Cartagena have been named as 26 year old Steven Hudson who was living in Spain and his 21 year old girlfriend Michelle Bailey. Their car was in collision with a van, the 34 year old Romanian driver of which also died.

And a motorbike rider, 41 year old Mark Barlow, was killed when in collision with a bus on Ibiza.
