Montaña Clara lies to the north of Lanzarote
A Canary Island near Lanzarote has been put up for sale for nine million € by a local family, the current owners.
Called Montaña Clara is small island is 2.7 cubic kilometres and is located to the north of Lanzarote, considered to be part of the Chinijo Nature Park.
The owners say they are open to offers, although they are hoping that the State takes a role in the purchase. A price of nine million € is mentioned.
It’s uncommon for such a sale to take place in Spain. The island was purchased fifty years ago by López Socas who was then the Mayor of Haría on Lanzarote.
There are already two parties reported to be interested in the purchase – once is a financial company and another, a Dutch family.
More details on the sale can be obtained from the Look & Find real estate company.
