• Four Civil Guard on trial in Alicante on Thursday for the death of a suspect - Sep 24, 2007 - 8:01 PM
A court in the city is investigating four official complaints against officers from the rapid response unit
The Almería edition of Ideal newspaper reports of four complaints placed against police officers during celebrations for the city’s local fair last month.
The official complaints, three of which come from a woman from Barcelona province, a local man and a United States citizen, are said to mention abuse of authority, brutality, racism and homophobia by officers from the ‘Titan’ rapid response unit, in addition to illegal arrest.
Instruction Court No. 6 in the city is in charge of the investigation, where photographs of the injuries and medical reports have been submitted for study.
