Police arrest four suspects for Fuengirola shooting

The arrests were made in Málaga city, Fuengirola and Torremolinos on Wednesday

Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the shootout in Fuengirola on Tuesday night which killed two Colombian men.

One of the victims shot in Torreblanca in the Monte Cañada Urbanisation died at the scene, with a second dying later in the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella.

A third man is seriously injured and is in the Carlos Haya Hospital in Málaga.

The arrests of two Spanish suspects took place in Málaga city centre on Wednesday, according to information given to EFE by Málaga City Hall, as the suspects were about to get into a BMW car which police believe was connected to the shooting. They were arrested at 6.30pm on Alameda Principal.

A third man, a Columbian walked into Fuengirola police station with his layer, and a fourth man was arrested in Torremolinos.

Investigators believe the hit was a drug-related settling of scores and said both the dead men are from Colombia.

It takes the number of deaths in such settling of scores on the Costa del Sol to four in 15 days.
An Estonian man was shot on a terrace in Nueva Andalucia and another body was found in a burnt out car in Estepona.
