The Princess enjoyed a quiet day at home on Saturday

The Princess of Asturias, Letizia Ortiz, celebrated her 35th birthday on Saturday. She was born in Oviedo, in Asturias, where she spent most of her childhood.

The birthday was the first she has celebrated with her second daughter, the Infanta Sofía, who was born in April. It was a quiet family affair at home, but she is expected to join the Prince in public at the final of the Eurobasket championships later on Sunday night.

Earlier last week the Princess told of how difficult it was for her to leave her oldest daughter, Leonor, at the nursery for the very first time.
