A depiction of a priest molesting a child would probably be more acceptable
to the Catholic church.

That's offensive and unacceptable! If it would have been other public
persons like a politian, a news reporter or anybody else the exibition
wouldn't be authorized, why it has been with personage of the catholic
church in a former church? Isn't is descrimination?

It is about time Christians react more agressively to insults against our
religion! Christian faithfuls rise against these non-believers who mock
our faith!!! I am sure they will not post pictures of mohammed like that
because they are afraid of the muslim's reactions.... What about us
Christians? Why are we not doing something?

Well, Spain really is showing that they've got the guts, despite of being a
strong catholic country they don't want to mess up their secular state.

Funny, isn't it? This news outlet (and most others in the world) is showing
pictures of the Pope being porked but they didn’t dare show one of those
cartoons of Mohamed. I think it’s called hypocrisy. So,
TypicallySpanish.com, why DO you think it’s fine to show the Pope being
insulted, but not Mohamed? I bet you don’t respond.

Pops - Ibiza is in Spain and we cover, or try to, News in Spain. We note
your two earlier comments on this page, and hardly think you can take on
the role of 'high and mighty'.

If Christians were really serious about their faith then their priests
would start by preaching that homosexuality is wrong. But they don't do
that, they carry on voting for people like Sandra Mayans, and sick creeps
like Ivo Hendriks carry on peddling their filth.

Tut-tut, news-team. I seem to have touched a raw nerve. You published an
article on Feb 16 2006 in which you mentioned specifically the cartoons of
Mohammed - Spanish PM meets Islamic leaders - so, as you mentioned the
cartoons, why didn't you print them? Come on now, if they had been cartoons
of the Pope, or George Bush, you know you would have printed them, wouldn't
you? ...Be honest.

Its disgusting that taxpayers money is being used to display such a crap
and than its called ¨art¨
Pseudo artists living on the stupidity of the mass. Becoming famous and
making a living on garbage. Why don't they have the guts to display their
mothers and sisters in provocative poses. Do hey have to insult people
who still have commons sense. This is not art this is just shit.sorry__

Pure crap. Its time people open their eyes and don't call whatever is
provocative as ART. Why do they have to insult people of faith with this.
If they have guts do the same with another faith, not ours. Thats not going
to happen , we are too tolerant and naive enough to allow shit to be thrown
on our own culture and roods. Its not about being a religious fanatic its
about having a minimum of selfesteem.

UPDATE - The PSOE controlled Ibiza Town Hall has announced the early
closure of the exhibition after 10,000 visiting numbers. It should have
stayed open until the end of the month. The closure comes after the Bishop
of Ibiza, Vicente Juan Segura, threatened possible legal action. The Town
Hall says collaboration with the Church is at an end and it will be
returning the keys of the venue to the Bishopric.
