The 'ene' ñ letter and other accented characters can be registered in URL's from today

The ñ and other Spanish characters can now be part of URL web page addresses.

The change in .es domains was introduced at 6am this morning, but the registration of the new multilingual domains will be carried out in stepped phases.

Those who have registered trade marks will be able to apply before June 1, and then after that the rest of the domains will be awarded in a first come, first served basis from October 30.

The complete list of the characters from Castellano, Catalán, Euskera and Gallego is 'á', 'à', 'é', 'è', 'í', 'ì', 'ó', 'ò', 'ú', 'ü', 'ñ', 'Ç' y 'l•l'.
