The Prosecutor in Módena is still investigating the alegations of espionage against four members of the McLaren team

Fernando Alonso has been in Módena, Italy today to declare before the town’s prosecutor in the Ferrari espionage case.

The Italian judiciary is continuing to investigate the case, despite the fact that the FIA Formula One authorities have already held their own hearing and handed down the punishment of the 100 million dollars fine for McLaren and their banning from the constructors’ championship this year.

It’s understood that Alonso was questioned about the emails which he exchanged with Pedro de la Rosa, the McLaren test driver, which are said to be at the centre of the allegations of the alleged espionage by McLaren on Ferrari.

The prosecutor is investigating four members of the McLaren team including the boss Ron Dennis and Paddy Lowe, the team’s head of engineering.
The same prosecutor in Módena is also still investigating allegations of sabotage of two Ferrari cars during the meet in Monaco earlier in the season.
