The suspect vehicle sped off after drugs were found in the car, hitting the Spanish patrol car and seriously injuring an officer
A local police officer from La Línea de la Concepción remains in hospital after an incident at the entrance to the town on Sunday evening, where a Gibraltar-registered vehicle fled a police control after a small amount of marijuana was found in the car.
Reports indicate that Spanish local police fired into the air as the car fled towards the border.
The two Spanish officers were injured when the escaping car, which managed to cross over into Gibraltar, hit their patrol vehicle and seriously injured one of the officers. He suffered a fractured vertebrae and remains under observation in the emergency department of the Puerta del Mar Hospital in Cádiz City.

Um, he just blasted his way past the border control (and the never-ending
queue that is usually there)?
