Farruquito is serving three and a half years for killing a pedestrian on a crossing in Seville in 2003
It’s been revealed that Farruquito, the world-famous flamenco dancer who is serving three and a half years for hitting a pedestrian on a zebra crossing and failing to report the fatal accident, has been let out on his first prison pass.
Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya was let out of the Sevilla II prison last Tuesday for the 1st November bank holiday, and returned last Friday, 2nd November.
He was granted the second prison grade this May after serving a third of his sentence: it gives him 36 days a year outside the prison walls – 18 days for each quarter of the year.
Farruquito was found guilty of negligent homicide in the death of 35 year old Benjamín Olalla on a street in Seville in 2003, and leaving the scene of the accident. He only owned up to driving the car after his 15 year old brother had originally confessed to being at the wheel of the vehicle.
He was originally given a 16 month prison sentence by a criminal court in Seville – which would have meant a suspended sentence - which was later extended by a ruling from the higher provincial court in the Andalucía capital.

be extra careful in those walkways if you are in andalucia now that this
unfortunate individual has been loosened upon the roads. his genuine
remorse is appreciated, just hope he keeps off the roads.
