Thanksgiving celebrated on the Costa del Sol

200 Americans gathered at a restaurant in Mijas yesterday

The United States Consul, Roberta Aaron, was among 200 guests at a Mijas restaurant yesterday to celebrate Thanksgiving, held on the fourth Thursday of November each year.

The event at the Valparaíso Restaurant saw the traditional turkey and all the trimmings, together with the Pumpkin Pie.

In the States the meal would be followed by watching American Football on the television, here in Spain a siesta is more in order.
