Early sales for the Spanish Christmas lottery have seen tickets ending in the number three selling faster than any other

The number three is the clear favourite ending this year for the Spanish ‘Gordo’ Christmas lottery, followed by the five and seven.

42% of Spaniards admit to having some preference when choosing their decimo, the tenth part of a ticket usually purchased, with odd numbers leading the fashion. 13 is a popular ending in certain areas of the country, especially Andalucía.

The draw takes place, as every year on December 22.

We’re not sure why, but tickets ending with the numbers ‘69’ are the most in demand on the Internet.
