The row continues in some circles over the actions of the Judge who presided over the Madrid Train Bombings case.
The President of the March 11th Association of those affected by Terrorism, Pilar Manjón, has said that neither she, nor her association will take part in what she called the lynching of the National Court Judge, Javier Gómez Bermúdez.

The Judge, who lead the team of three magistrates in the Madrid train bombings case, has come under considerable criticism in sections of the media in Spain after his wife, Elisa Beni, published a book about him and the trial.

She said that she had no intention of asking the prosecutor to take any measures following the publication of the book, despite earlier asking where the proceeds would be going, and suggesting they went to the victims.

Now Pilar Manjón says she is ‘absolutely satisfied’ with the action of the General Council for Judicial Power, the CGPJ which oversees the judiciary in Spain. They have opened an investigation into the matter to see whether the judge has acted in anyway incorrectly following the claim that he had revealed secrets about the trial to his wife.
