Stoppages start on Alicante and Valencia TRAM this Tuesday

The strike action has been called against plans to privatise the maintenance service
Tuesday sees the first of a series of nine stoppages called on the TRAM services in Valencia and Alicante against plans by the Generalitat de Valencia’s railways company to private the maintenance service.

The strike on Tuesday will take place for 24 hours, and will be followed by partial stoppages on other days during the month of December. They have been given as the 13th, from 9.50-12.50; the 18th and 20th, from 9.50-12.50 and again from 17.50-19.50; and on the 15th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 29th, from 17.50-21.50.
