17 survivors were rescued in Conil de la Frontera, and another 29 immigrants were intercepted off the coast of Barbate
At least two people have died when an immigrant boat capsized off the coast of Conil de la Frontera on Tuesday. It’s understood 17 passengers were rescued alive, but the search continues for any other survivors who may have reached land. Specialist divers were called in to search the sea for bodies.

Another boat with 29 people on board was intercepted eight miles off the coast of Barbate. They were all adult males apart from one juvenile, and one needed treatment for an injury to his head. Some were also suffering hypothermia.
