There was an arguement with the organisers of the Young Businessmen Federation as to who should present prizes at their annual gala

The row between the Mayor of Madrid and the Regional President, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón and Esperanza Aguirre, has become public again. El País reports this morning that on Tuesday night the two PP members met at the prize giving for the Madrid Federation of Young Businessmen Associations, an annual event held in Florida Park in the Retiro in Madrid.

It seems Aguirre was upset by the ovation obtained for the Mayor at the event. She had been there at the start of the event and gave some brief words of welcome, but Gallardón decided to arrive later and made an entrance just ahead of the dinner.

El País says then Aguirre tried to present the main prize of the night, but the organisers had already arranged that privilege for Gallardón. Several minutes of tension followed with the two P.P. leaders not exchanging a word and then the Regional President then consulted her diary and decided to leave.
