The Court saw evidence that Fernando Ferrín could have maliciously delayed the administration of justice
The Murcia High Court of Justice, the TSJM, has decided to admit a complaint against the family court judge in the regional capital, Fernando Ferrín Calamita, who made headline news last year for removing custody from a mother because she is a lesbian.

This complaint was presented for consideration some time ago, and comes from a lesbian woman named by EFE as V.H., who alleged that the judge purposely delayed her application to adopt her partner’s daughter conceived through artificial insemination.

The court said in its ruling that there is evidence that the judge could have ‘maliciously delayed the administration of justice.’ The TSJM has appointed judge Manuel Abadía to the investigation, and has informed the disciplinary committee at the General Council for Judicial Power, the body which oversees the judiciary, of its decision. The judge already has two investigations against him in the General Council.
