Don Juan Carlos visited the Puleva biotech centre and joined in 75th birthday celebrations for Ideal newspaper
The King was in Granada province on Tuesday, where he toured the Puleva Biotech centre, part of the Spanish foods group Ebro-Puleva. The monarch’s visit came on the tenth anniversary of Puleva’s launch onto the market of their Omega 3-enriched products.

Don Juan Carlos went on to the town of Peligros on Tuesday afternoon, where he attended another birthday celebration: the 75th anniversary of Ideal newspaper. It is part of the Vocento group, and publishes editions for Granada, Jaén, Granada Coast and Almería.

Vocento’s President, Diego de Alcázar, gave a speech to mark the King’s visit to the Ideal head office, after which Don Juan Carlos went up to the microphone and jokingly commented, ‘you’ve forgotten to say that Ideal is only five years older than me.’

The King had his 70th birthday on 5th January this year.
