Strikers are expected to try and stop the work of the Civil Registary today
The strike in the judiciary in Murcia continues with as many as 4,000 cases now suspended and reports in the La Verdad newspaper that the Civil Registry is now also under threat.

Today is the tenth day of the stoppage and there is little sign of any agreement on the horizon with the latest offer from the Ministry for Justice being rejected by the union representatives.

The Civil Servants who work in the judiciary in the Murcia region are demanding a 200 € wage increase to bring their wages into line with other regions where responsibility for the judiciary has been devolved. They claim that their colleagues in Andalucia earn 269 € a month more, while the difference to the Basque Country is 290 €.
