The Coastal Authority will be depositing 200,000 cubic metres of sand along the coast before Easter
Work started in Málaga province this Monday to replace the sand lost from the beaches in the storms and Levante winds earlier this month. The Environment Ministry has promised to replace the sand ‘immediately’ to make them ready for Easter, and the Coastal Authority will be depositing 200,000 cubic metres on the beaches affected on the Costa del Sol.

Other beaches in Estepona, Benalmádena, and Chilches, Mezquitilla and Lagos in Vélez Málaga will also receive new sand. It is expected to cost around 12 million €.
