It's thought the animal is used to being with humans

A man has found an abandoned baby kangaroo on waste land in Elda, Alicante. The animal was no more than 30 cms long and quite clearly is used to being with humans.

The animal has now been put in the care of the Villena Animal Protectors. Spokesperson, Esther Esquembre, said a person had reported the animal to the Guardia Civil who had asked them to take care of it.

It will probably be moved to the Noah’s Arc specialist animal recovery centre in Benimantell in Alicante in a few days.
