Dear Editor!
At 0505 we woke up this morning and heard something like an exlosion. Being
an officer in the Swedish Army I thought it was like an underground
explosion, not far away.
It lasted, as we thought, for just a few seconds and our house was shaking.
Some neighbour dogs barked and a woman was screaming, my wife said to me.
Last time we had such an experience was in Cabo Servera, Torrevieja in 1986
or 87. We lived then on the 6th floor and the whole house was shaking a lot
and.
We are Swedes and are not used to it even if we have had a simliar
experience in Sweden. We lived just south to the big lake VÄTTERN, in a
town called Husquarna. That time it sounded like a sound-bagn from an
aeroplane. We heard it was an earthshake right in the middle of the lake.

We live in Hurchillo near Orihuela. At 5.00am this morning me and my Wife
woke up suddenly. We heard a loud explosion and the bed shook for a few
seconds. At that moment I knew it was an earthquake. My Wife wasn't too
sure if it was an earthquake. However, it has now been confirmed on this
website, thanks!

we experienced our first quake on Tuesday the 26th , woke up the next day
to find an old "Well" exposed under our driveway, then to fly into spain to
experience our second quake.
I thought I was dreaming about the first onem when the second happend but the next morning my husband and house quest confirmed i was not.
Bizare week of experiences !!!!!

We were rudely awoken at approx 5am on March 2nd with a sound like a
rumbling wave passing underground. This lasted approx 5/6 seconds and
frighted the lives out of us. We have never experinced an earthquake
before, even the recent one in the UK. The after shock came about half
hour later. We are based in Orihuela Costa in the area of Las Filippinas.

My wife and I were awoken at 5.45am this morning, Thursday 22nd may 2008,
with the whole house shaking and the roof tiles bouncing. This lasted about
5 seconds and I am sure this was an earth tremor of some kind. There was
also a couple of smaller tremors and bangs. We live in La Romana in the
province of Alicante.
Did anyone else notice anything of this kind. I have spoken to our neighbours and a couple of them said they felt it just the same.

Again today at 6.45am there was, what I believe to be, a further earth
tremor in La Romana. It was not as bad as the one that took place on the
22nd but still shook the house for a few seconds.
In fact there has been many minor tremors since the one last week. Does anyone have any information about the recent one.

Yes we felt the quake lastnite exactly at 00.42am 06/08/08 too. We experienced the last one too. This was worst, the glass unit we have in the lounge, rattled and the glass was making a loud noise!
Apparantely, we are on the fault line, which means we will get regular tremors, some unnoticed! This isn't good news, but at least we can be aware of it!
