William Kikanae hopes to raise funds to build a school and a clinic for his tribe in Kenya, the Keniata
A Masai chief has been travelling around Spain to raise funds to build a school and a small clinic for his tribe in Kenya. William Kikanae, chief of the Keniata tribe, has already visited Madrid and Alicante, and is now in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.

Diario Sur reports this Tuesday that he sold 30 of his 110 cattle to buy land for his tribe of some 500 people, and wants to build facilities there to improve their living conditions, but at the same time keeping their culture and traditions intact. The chief told the paper his own family were too poor to send him to school, and that he learnt to read and write from the tourists.

He is in Spain with the help of the Kenya Cheetah Foundation and Nakupenda Africa.
