He was the original owner of five emaciated colts found in a Málaga stables with the skeleton of a sixth, tied by its legs
The local police in Málaga have reported a man from Álora for animal abuse after he was identified as the previous owner of five emaciated colts found in stables in the Camino de Cotilla area of Campanillas last month. EFE said the skeleton of a sixth colt was also there, found with its legs tied together.
It’s understood that the current owner, who faces an administrative offence, told police when he was questioned that he had bought the animals in that condition from another man in the Valle del Guadalhorce, who has now been identified by police. He said he had called in a vet to help bring them back to health.
