The Andalucía High Court has overturned a ruling suspending the hotel's licence of first occupation
Management of the Hotel Bahía Almuñécar say they are considering taking legal action to claim compensation for the damage caused by the court suspension of the hotel’s licence of first occupation. The TSJA Andalucía High Court of Justice has now upheld the appeal the owners placed against the suspension in a ruling released this Thursday.

The original appeal against the licence was placed by the Junta de Andalucía, and it was then suspended by a ruling from an administrative court in Granada. The hotel’s manager, Pedro Molina, told the EFE news agency on Thursday that it has caused damage to the hotel’s image and to occupancy levels, and has also affected the morale of the workforce and partners in the company. ‘We will be working hard to recover income and lost time,’ he said, adding that the owners are studying applying to the courts for compensation from the bodies and public employees they consider responsible for the damage caused to the business.
