Foriegn film lovers in Madrid, Barcelona and Tarifa are in luck
Foreign cinema appears to be in fashion in Spain currently with two new festivals about to open.

The 5th edition of the Tarifa African Cinema Festival is showing 94 films, documentaries and shorts and runs from April 25th to May 4. Known as FCAT the festival will this year also act as a meeting point for film making professionals to discuss the particular problems they face not only in Africa but also in Latin America. The organisers hope that the forum will become a regular part of the event which also contains two photographic exhibitions, two concerts and a display of graffiti.

The second event is for lovers of Indian film. Image India, the Madrid Indian Film Festival will run from May 23 to June 2, and will also see some contents move on to the Casa Asia in Barcelona between June 5 and 8. The event is in its seventh year this year, and will feature women in film in particular, with showings in many of the top cinemas of the capital. The event has been growing over the years and now also shows a wide selection of titles from both Asia and Arabia. 75 films will be shown this year in total.
